Lexington police launches website of crime surveillance photos

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Lexington Police Department has created a new website featuring surveillance photos of some of the department’s unsolved cases.

LexIDme allows people to see some of the photographic evidence in open cases and submit tips directly to police.

The department says the majority of the cases posted to LexIDme are shoplifting and other theft cases.

In 2018, Lexington police say they received nearly 2,200 shoplifting reports, in addition to thousands of burglary and other larceny cases.
