Lexington stabbing suspect arrested at homeless shelter
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A man wanted in connection to a stabbing in Lexington was arrested at a homeless shelter where coincidentally, jail employees were serving lunch, according to Lexington Police.
Investigators say 23-year old Mark Shadoan is accused of stabbing a man in the 700-block of North Broadway Friday afternoon. They say after the stabbing, Shadoan went to the Hope Center shelter for lunch, where he was arrested.
He was charged with Assault 1st Degree and Tampering with Physical Evidence, according to police.
The victim, whose name wasn’t released, was stabbed in the stomach and taken to the hospital.
The case is still under investigation.
