Lexington Police Investigate Series Of Early Morning Burglaries

Lexington Police are looking into an early morning burglary where a man reportedly stole over 70 cartons of cigarettes.
Officers said a Chevron gas station on Versailles Road was burglarized around 3 a.m. Thursday.
According to police, a male suspect smashed through the front glass door of the store and stole about 75 cartons of cigarettes.
The gas station caught the suspect on camera and police said they are reviewing it. We’re told the video showed a driver in a car, waiting for the suspect, pretending to get gas. Officers said the suspect got into the car.
The suspect is described as a man wearing a Carhartt jacket, black ski mask and University of Kentucky gloves.
