Lexington Police investigate overnight shooting

LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – Lexington Police are investigating a shooting that occurred overnight.

According to LPD, officers were called to the 300 block of West Short Street for a disorder around 1:50 a.m.

Upon arrival, they found a male victim with a gunshot wound. He was transported to a hospital with what officials say are life-threatening injuries.

Detectives are asking residents and business in the area to check their surveillance cameras and contact police if they have any footage that may help the investigation.
