Lexington police arrest Detroit man for importing fentanyl

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) — Police have arrested a man they say imported fentanyl into Lexington from Detroit, intending to distribute it.

Police say 61-year-old Jerry Thimes was found in possession of around 100 grams of fentanyl, discovered during a traffic stop.

They say he had driven it from Detroit, intending to sell it.

He is charged with drug possession, importing, and trafficking.
