Lexington officer honored by Georgetown Police Dept.

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A Lexington police officer was honored for his part in helping a sergeant from the Georgetown Police Department catch a suspect.

On January 18, Officer Puchovsky was off-duty near Kohl’s Department Store in Georgetown.  The officer says he saw a sergeant from the GPD grappling with a suspect.  Puchovsky reportedly came to the aid of the sergeant, at which point the suspect ran away.  According to the sergeant, Officer Puchovsky chased the suspect down and held him until additional law enforcement arrived.

Georgetown Police Department Chief Mike Bosse presented an award to Officer Puchovsky at this week’s city council meeting.
