Lexington museum receives grant from Kentucky Historical Society

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A historic museum in Lexington is the recent recipient of a grant from the Kentucky Historical Society.

The society awarded the Mary Todd Lincoln House with a $2,000 grant from the Kentucky Local History Trust Fund on Wednesday.

Dr. Amanda Higgins, the society’s community engagement administrator, says the grant will allow the Mary Todd Lincoln House to update their collections management system and will fund a collections internship at the site.

Mary Todd Lincoln was Abraham Lincoln’s wife. The downtown attraction was her childhood home.
