Lexington mourns loss of two well-known ministers
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Two well-known ministers in Lexington have died.
Dr. Ted Sisk, the Pastor Emeritus at Immanuel Baptist Church, passed away at the age of 89. He served as pastor from 1970-to-1995. The church chapel is named in his honor. He was president of the Kentucky Baptist Convention. He was a board member of Central Baptist Hospital and Republic Bank. Funeral arrangements are incomplete at Milward Funeral Directors.
Reverend Dr. Wayne Bell, who was president of Lexington Theological Seminary, passed away at the age of 97. He served as president of the seminary from 1974-to-1986. His funeral is scheduled for this Sunday, April 23, at 4:30 p.m. at Central Christian Church in Lexington.
