Lexington man accused of shaking baby

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) —  Lexington Police have arrested and charged a man with child abuse.

Officials say on Tuesday morning, 32-year-old  Shawn Taylor Wilson, shook his 8–month–old son, causing serious physical injury to the child.

Court documents say Wilson told police the abuse occurred out of frustration because the child would not stop crying. Police say Wilson also told them he was under a lot of stress recently due to overdue bills  and not being able to find a job because of his previous felony conviction.

Meanwhile, the child is still being treated in the Pediatric Critical Care Unit at University of Kentucky Hospital.
