75 pets adopted during Lexington Humane Society, CHI Saint Joseph Health drive
UPDATE: (06/29/21) – An adoption drive partnership has led to dozens of pets finding a forever home.
According to Lexington Humane Society, 75 pets were adopted during an adoption drive last weekend in Lexington.
It’s thanks to a partnership between Lexington Humane Society and CHI Saint Joseph Health. The adoption event took place Friday and Saturday where dogs, cats and kittens were available at a discount price of $25.
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Lexington Humane Society is teaming up with CHI Saint Joseph Health to help place dogs and cats in forever homes.
The adoption event will offer reduced fees for pets on Friday, June 25 and Saturday, June 26. Those interested can pay a $25 adoption fee for dogs, cats and kittens at all Lexington Humane Society locations, including LHS Everyday Adoption Center inside of PetSmart, located at the Hamburg Pavilion.
The humane society will also extend its’ main campus location hours at 1600 Old Frankfort Pike both days from 12 p.m. until 8 p.m.

According to CHI Saint Joseph Health, the companion adoption event is an extension of CHI Saint Joseph Health’s new Hello humankindness movement that is grounded in the philosophy that while medicine has the ability to cure, our shared humanity has the power to heal – mind, body and spirit.
