Lexington Hospital For Cats: Can You Be A ‘Cat Angel’?

Some cats in Lexington need help from the community this winter.

The Lexington Hospital for Cats put up a Christmas tree with ‘Cat Angels’ on it.

People can pick an angel and look on the back to see an item they can buy.

The hospital said its main needs were canned cat food, cat litter, beds and cleaning supplies.

The campaign raised 400 cans and about $1,000 last year.

Unfortunately, it didn’t go that far.

Organizers said there was a big need because adoptions were down, while the number of abandoned cats was up.

The Cat Angel Tree can be found at the Lexington Hospital for Cats at 271 Southland Drive.
