Lexington Gun Show returns to Kentucky Horse Park

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Lexington Gun Show returned to the Kentucky Horse Park this weekend.

Hosted by Kenny Woods Gun Shows, the bi-annual event is a tradition at the Kentucky Horse Park. While the first show of the year is normally held in the winter, two summer shows were held instead this year due to the park being used as a vaccine mobilization site in January. The show saw over 80 vendors spread across 210 tables.

Torin Kehrli, the manager of the Lexington Gun Show, spoke about the appeal of gatherings like this one.

“It’s just kind of a culture thing really. It’s been a part of United States, Kentucky around here for a long time and it just let’s people get together and enjoy a hobby they really like. Not even a hobby really, a lifestyle.”

For safety purposes, open carry was not allowed in the show along with loose ammunition, loaded firearms and magazines.
