Lexington firefighters replace damaged American flag

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Some Lexington firefighters used their lunch break recently to lend a hand, or rather, a ladder, to a restaurant.

The Lexington Fire Department posted a picture on its Facebook page, showing firefighters using a ladder truck to take down a damaged American flag at the Chick-fil-A on Harrodsburg Road.

The department says the firefighters frequently have lunch at the restaurant and know the staff.

It says, on Monday, the damaged flag was mentioned and firefighters went to work to replace it.
