Lexington firefighters investigating a string of arson’s

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – The fire department’s arson investigators are looking for information on a fire Sunday morning at a vacant building on Powell Street near Charles Young park in Lexington.

Firefighters say they got there around 6 a.m. and quickly put out the flames.

No one was inside the building, but it was heavily damaged.

At the end of last month, there was another arson at an abandoned building on Goodloe Street.

That was one of six fires in the last couple months in the neighborhood.

The fire department isn’t sure this most recent arson is connected to the one on Goodloe.
