Lexington Fayette County Health Department Continues Flu Shot Program Starting Thursday
Kentucky’s first case of the flu was diagnosed at the beginning of December. The disease has spread throughout the state during the month.
Symptoms include fever, coughing, sore throat, runny or stuffy nose, body aches, headaches and tiredness.
The department said the shot should cover one in three strands of the virus and is your best bet at prevention.
The flu shots cost $30 and will be administered at the department’s new clinic location at 650 Newtown Pike on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
