Lexington expands pool hours, provides updates

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – After starting the swimming season with reduced hours due to a lifeguard shortage, Lexington is expanding pool hours beginning Monday, June 21.

The new hours include:

• Shillito, 10 a.m. – 8 p.m., Monday-Saturday; Noon – 6 p.m., Sunday
• Woodland, Noon – 8 p.m., Monday-Saturday; Noon – 6 p.m., Sunday
• Castlewood, 10 a.m. – 6 p.m., Monday-Saturday; Noon – 6 p.m., Sunday
• Douglass, Noon – 6 p.m., Monday-Saturday; 1 – 6 p.m., Sunday

Southland Pool is temporarily closed due to a leak. Tates Creek Pool will make its opening splash Saturday, June 19 with its hours set from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Saturday, and 12 p.m. through 6 p.m. on Sunday.
