Lexington Children’s Theatre announces auditions for upcoming production
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Lexington Children’s Theatre has announced auditions for their upcoming production, Afternoon of the Elves.
The show is based on the Newberry Honor book by Janet Taylor Lisle.
According to the theatre, the story teaches the importance of strong friendships, and teaches children to help others through some of life’s biggest challenges.
The Lexington Children’s Theatre says auditions are by appointment only, and can be scheduled by emailing psm@lctonstage.org.
Available audition times are Dec. 9 and 10 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., and Dec. 11 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Auditions will be held at the Lexington Children’s Theatre at 418 W. Short Street.
The theatre says once an audition is scheduled, the actor or actress will receive an audition packet that they must turn in upon arrival for their appointment.
A picture will be taken at that time as well, and the theatre says it will cost $1 for that photo.
During the audition, the theatre explains, performers may play improvisational games, or may be asked to read from the script.
The theatre says all those auditioning must be at least 9-years-old before Jan. 20, 2018 to be eligible.
Performances for the production will take place March 18 through March 25, 2018.
