Lexington Boy Treated For Dog Bite Wounds

The Lexington Fire Department said a young child was bitten by a neighbor’s dog and had to be treated at the scene.

A Fire Department spokesman said the wounds were not serious.

Lexington Police said it happened Sunday afternoon in the 3500 block of Pasadena Drive.

The events leading up to the bite are still under investigation.

Investigators said the 10-year old boy was bitten in the buttocks by a German Shepherd.

The Lexington-Fayette County Health Department will now get involved in the investigation to help determine if the dog needs to be quarantined.
