Legends take a step into the future with new technology
LEXINTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – New technology is being implemented around Whitaker Bank Ballpark this year.
The Lexington Legends announce Tuesday that technology ranging from Virtual Reality to free Wi-fi will be available to fans enjoy while at a game.
Fans can also use the First Pitch App to listen to the broadcast of the game;
Fans can practice their swing in the Toyota Triple Play Zone at the new Home Run Virtual Reality Challenge presented by The Yard
Fans will also be able to travel around Whitaker Bank Ballpark to look for digital baseball cards through augmented reality; just download the Lexington Legends Experience app through the Apple App Store or Google Play.
More augmented reality games will be unveiled throughout the season.
Fans will now be able to use Wi-Fi for free throughout the ball park during Legends games and other events held at the venue; look for the network name: Legends Guest.
With the MiLB First Pitch App, fans will have access to up-to-date statistics, stories, news, and updates on the Legends; it can also be downloaded through the Apple App Store or Google Play.
This app will allow fans to stream the broadcasts for every game, whether the team is at home or on the road.
