Lawrenceburg Police seize 16 marijuana plants

ANDERSON COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ)- Officers with the Lawrenceburg Police Department say they seized 16 marijuana plants Tuesday morning.

Officers say these pot plants were at an apartmnet at Broadway Suites. They arrested Chester Byrd, who lives at the apartments, and charged him with cultivating marijuana.

Police say they were called to the apartment after Byrd and another man got into an altercation where the man said Byrd was reportedly growing pot. Officers say Byrd told them he was growing the marijuana for medicinal purposes.

Police say Byrd also had growing lights and other equipment, along with some high-test pot seeds.
