Law enforcement undergoing enhanced crisis negotiation training

VERSAILLES, Ky. (WTVQ) – As law enforcement find themselves in need of adapting to high-intensity scenarios, the Versailles Police Department (VPD) hosted a Crisis Negotiator training program this week.

The training program was conducted by Special Agents from the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

Several agencies across the Commonwealth had law enforcement personnel being trained, including three from VPD.

The training will better equip officers to respond to the most challenging situations involving individuals in crisis.
