Laurel County receives $275,000 to resurface connector road
LONDON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Laurel County Fiscal Court learned Wednesday it’s receiving $275,000 from the state to resurface a major connector road in the county.
Nearly seven miles of Mount Zion Road (County Road 1055) will be resurfaced beginning at milepoint 0.0, according to the state.
Mount Zion Road serves as an important connector road for people in Laurel and Jackson counties.
County officials say with heavy daily use, the road has become a safety hazard in many places.
