LaRue County family wins Young Farmers & Ranchers “Achievement Award.”

LARUE, Ky. (WTVQ) – A LaRue County family won the top honor during the American Farm Bureau Federation (AFBF) virtual convention Wednesday.

Caleb and Leanne Ragland were named the winners of the Young Farmers & Ranchers “Achievement Award.”

The award recognizes young farmers and ranchers who have excelled in their farming or ranching operations and have exhibited superior leadership abilities.

The Raglands have a hog, corn, wheat, and soybean farm and employ a team of 13. Caleb handles a variety of business and marketing work while Leanne homeschools their three young boys and manages daily office work and social media for the farm.

“We are humbled by this honor,” said Caleb. “We owe so much to the support of our Farm Bureau family and to the many others who have encouraged and supported us on our journey.”

As winners of the AFBF Young Farmers & Ranchers “Achievement Award”, the Raglands will receive a new Ford truck, courtesy of Ford. They will also receive paid registration to the 2021 AFBF FUSION Conference.
