Large Crowd Downtown Lexington Protests Ferguson Decision
A protest was held Tuesday night in Lexington after a Missouri grand jury did not indict a police officer in the shooting death of an unarmed teenager.
About 300 people planned to march downtown from Third Street to Courthouse Square.
ABC 36 was the only television station on Main Street Monday night during a separate protest.
A small group had gathered downtown after a grand jury cleared Ferguson police officer Darren Wilson in the death of 18-year-old Michael Smith.
Several community organizations in Lexington were part of Tuesday’s march.
The groups described it as a peaceful protest.
