Landscape employee killed in mowing accident
HEBRON, Ky. (AP) — Officials in northern Kentucky say a lawn mower operator has died in an accident there.
The Boone County sheriff’s office says the 23-year-old Florence man was cutting along a steep embankment Friday when the mower rolled over, pinning him underneath.
The man, whose name hasn’t been released, was employed by T.R. Gear Landscaping in Fairfield, Ohio. He had been dropped off for work around a pump station.
The sheriff’s office said when the people who had dropped off the man returned around 10:30 a.m. EDT, they found him and rolled the mower off of him.
Officials said Hebron emergency medical services employees were unable to save the man.
