Lafayette HS to host Miss America viewing party

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) –  Clark Davis, 2014 graduate of Lafayette High School, will be competing this Sunday evening in the Miss America Pageant, and the school is holding a viewing party to cheer her on.

The viewing party will be raising money to support Davis’ platform of dyslexia awareness.  Clark is one of the only contestants in this year’s program to lend her support to a special education cause.

The free party will be held on the front lawn of Lafayette’s Beeler Auditorium.  It will begin at 7:00 p.m. and will run until the end of the pageant.  Food trucks, Bradford BBQ, and Sweet Lilly’s Frozen Yogurt and Coffee will be on hand providing food and refreshments, and a percentage of food profits will benefit Dyslexia Awareness.  There will also be live music performed by Lafayette studetns, and a Step Team performance.  The pageant will be shown in the auditorium starting at 9:00 p.m.
