KY Man Accused Of Illegally Reselling TV Satellite Equipment

A Manchester man is behind bars after being accused of ordering excessive amounts of satellite TV equipment and then reselling it online instead of installing it.

Someone had reported that a Multiband Corporation representative had sold the equipment illegally. Multiband installs, services and upgrades equipment for DIRECTV customers.

In all, $8,664 worth of equipment was reportedly sold over the Internet to an equipment dealer in Florida, an area that Multiband does not cover.

Investigators tied the sell to 39-year-old Charles Hensley and charged him with theft by unlawful taking $500 to $10,000 and theft by deception under $10,000.

He was arrested on Wednesday and booked in the Madison County Detention Center.
