Woman missing after walking away from the Hope Center in Harlan

HARLAN, Ky. (WTVQ) – Troopers are asking for help finding a woman they say walked away from a center that helps people overcome alcohol and drug addictions.

Kentucky State Police say 55-year-old Shanna Newsome, of Louisa, had been ordered by a court to stay at the Cumberland Hope Center in Harlan County.

According to KSP, Newsome is 185 pounds with brown eyes and brown hair. She has tattoos on her back, left arm, and left wrist.

Troopers ask anyone with information about Newsome’s whereabouts to call (606) 573-3131.
