KSP: Wife charged with attempted murder in husband’s shooting

ANNVILLE, Ky. (WTVQ) – A three-day investigation into a shooting has ended with an Annville woman behind bars, charged with attempted murder, according to Kentucky State Police.

Troopers say that around 9:20 p.m. on Sunday, they received a call saying that 59-year-old Cecil Ray Snider had been found inside a home on Boss Vaughn Road with gunshot wounds.  He was airlifted to University of Kentucky Hospital with life-threatening injuries.

32-year-old Elizabeth Snider, who found her husband along with her neighbors, initially stated she had nothing to do with the shooting, but officers say that after following leads and conducting interviews over the course of three days she was arrested, taken to the Jackson Co. Detention Center, and charged with attempted murder.

The case remains under investigation.  Officers say, at this time, they do not know a motive in the shooting.
