KSP: Two more arrests in Lee County murder
JACKSON, Ky. (WTVQ) – State Police say two suspects were arrested Monday night in Breathitt County in connection to the shooting death of 27-year old Billy Roark in Lee County. Investigators say 39-year old Jay Shoemaker and 22-year old Raigan Griffin, both of Beattyville, were found at a home off of Rock Lick Road in a rural part of the county.
Investigators say the two were charged with Complicity to Commit Murder. They were taken to the Three Forks Regional Detention Center.
State Police say two other people, 31-year old Amy Turner, of Beattyville and 33-year old Alysia Hensley, of Beattyville, were arrested and charged with Hindering Prosecution. They were lodged in the Three Forks Regional Detention Center.
Troopers say Roark, of Beattyville, and 36-year old James Brown, were found shot to death last week. Investigators say they believe the two were shot in separate incidents on August 11, 2016, in Lee County.
Four other people have already been arrested for their suspected involvement in the two deaths.
