KSP: Two killed after driver ran red light in Campton
CAMPTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – State Police say a driver and his passenger were killed Wednesday morning after running a red light in Campton.
Investigators say it happened around 5:38 a.m. on Main Street (KY 15/KY 191).
State Police say 27-year old Jonathan Miller, of Campton, was driving south when he ran the red light and was hit on the passenger side by a commercial vehicle that had the green light going through the intersection.
Investigators say Miller and his passenger, 21-year old Dylan Spencer, of Campton, both died at the scene.
The driver of the other vehicle, 55-year old Timothy Eitniear, of Hazard, had minor injuries and did not require medical treatment, according to KSP.
The collision remains under investigation by State Police.
