KSP: Stretch of I-75 Shut Down Due to Tanker Trailer Chemical Spill
ABC 36 has learned from State Police that a chemical leak from a tanker truck driving north along I-75 has caused an extensive traffic closure for drivers in both directions.
KSP is warning drivers that the north and south-bound lanes of the interstate have been shut down from north-bound Exit 90 to south-bound Exit 97.
Troopers said they pulled the tanker over after they received a number of calls that the tanker was leaking.
Officials are not sure how long the leak had been going on or what type of chemical was spilled onto the roadway.
Traffic is being diverted onto U.S. Highway 25 until further notice.
We will bring you more information as it becomes available.
