KSP: Stolen ATV leads to three arrests

DEWITT, Ky. (WTVQ) – State Police say a stolen ATV led to the arrest of three people in Knox County Friday morning. Investigators say a Red Honda Foreman 4X4 was stolen from a residence off of KY 930 in the Flat Lick community in Knox County early Friday morning.

Information led investigators to Browns Branch in the Scalf community in Knox County where 28-year old Todd Sprinkles, of Scalf, was arrested in connection to the theft of the ATV, according to KSP. Sprinkles was also served with an indictment warrant with prior charges, according to investigators.

Following the arrest, the stolen ATV was recovered at a residence on Houston Broughton Road in the Dewitt community in Knox County, according to investigators.

State Police say when they found the stolen ATV, two men took off running from the home into the surrounding woods.

Investigators say 37-year old Michael Sproles, of Gray, and 34-year old Dusty Bingham, of Barbourville, were eventually caught, arrested and charged for running from authorities and in connection the stolen ATV.

State Police say they also found another four-wheeler at the home that had the VIN taken off and stripped. State Police say the two men were charged in connection to that case as well.

All three men were lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.

The case is still under investigation by State Police.
