KSP: Speed Appears To Be Factor In Crash That Killed Berea Teen

State Police said speed appeared to be a factor in a single-car crash that killed a Madison County teenager.

Investigators said Richard A. Tillery, 18, of Berea, lost control of his 1997 BMW passenger car on US 25 on Monday afternoon and hit a tree.

State Police said the accident happened in Madison County near the Rockcastle County line.

Tillery was pronounced dead at the scene, according to State Police.

Investigators said it did not appear that Tillery was wearing a seat belt.
