KSP search McCracken Co. jail

PADUCAH, Ky. (WTVQ)– State Police are investigating possible violations of the Kentucky Whistleblower Act.

The Whistleblower Act is designed to protect employees who know of wrongdoing that is concealed or not publicly known, and who step forward to help uncover and disclose that information.

Detectives say the first was related to the investigation into the termination of Deputy David Knight on March 8, 2018 from the McCracken County Jail.  The second was related to the investigation into the March 26, 2018 death of Joshua Fuson of Paducah, KY at the McCracken County Jail.

KSP says both investigations are ongoing and no charges have been filed.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Kentucky State Police Post 1 at 270-856-3721 or anonymously at 1-800-222-5555.  Citizens may also report tips anonymously through the KSP app.  The app is available for iPhone, iPad and Android applications and can be easily downloaded free of charge through Apple and Google Play stores.
