KSP: Registered sex offender arrested for using social media

BEAVER DAM, Ky. (WTVQ) – A registered sex offender was arrested Tuesday for using social media in violation of his probation, according to State Police.

Investigators say they found two cell phones in 37-year old Terry Mattingly’s Beaver Dam home, that he was using to violate his probation.

He was taken to the Ohio County Detention Center and charged with Failure to Comply with Sex Offender Registration 1st Offense, Sex Offender IM/CHAT/Social Network, and Probation Violation for Felony Offense and Persistent Felony Offender 1st, according to State Police.
