KSP: One dead in suspected drunk driving crash in Boyd County
ASHLAND, Ky. (WTVQ)- State police are investigating a crash that killed one man and injured two others, including a juvenile.
KSP says the crash happened Wednesday evening on Route 5 in the Summit community in Boyd County.
Investigators say 41-year-old Jason Hall, of Ashland, was driving a 2016 Chevy Impala when he failed to make a left-hand turn, hit a guard rail and ended up in a ditch.
They say he got back onto the road and hit a 2018 Subaru being driven by 67-year-old Gayla Scott, of Flatwoods. Scott also had a juvenile passenger in the car.
Troopers say Hall was pronounced dead at the scene and Scott and her passenger were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. No word on the extent of their injuries.
State police say charges have not been filed at this time, but alcohol is considered to be a factor in the crash.
