KSP: Motorist Assist Turns Into Drug Arrest

ANTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – What began as a motorist assist turned into a drug arrest Monday morning, according to State Police.

Investigators say a Trooper spotted a car pulled over on the side of Anton Road, near the McLean County line, shortly after 10:00 a.m.

The Trooper says the driver, 45-year old Mike Kemper, of Sacramento, appeared to be under the influence. The Trooper says Kemper failed his field sobriety tests.

Investigators say Kemper had suspected methamphetamine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia on him.

State Police say Kemper was lodged in the Hopkins County Detention Center on DUI and drug charges.
