KSP: Knott County clerk robbed at knifepoint

KNOTT COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – Kentucky State Police are searching for the person who robbed a store clerk at knifepoint at a Knott County business.

Police were called to the Hindman Redi Mart convenience store around 5:30 p.m. Monday.

Police say a man wearing a mask and sunglasses entered the store carrying a knife and demanded cash. The suspect took off with the cash and was last seen heading into a wooded area near the store.

The suspect is described to be a white male between 5-foot-6-inches and 6-feet tall, weighing around 200 pounds. He is said to have light colored, and was last seen wearing a black shirt and dark pants.

Kentucky State Police are asking anyone with information about the case to contact them.
