KSP investigating possible connection between multiple fires

GEORGETOWN, Ky. (WTVQ) -Kentucky State Police are investigating the possibility that multiple fires in rural homes outside of Lexington may be connected.

Troopers say there are 5 house fires involved in the investigation, two fires in Jessamine Co., one in Fayette Co., and one in Garrard Co. Most recently, a fire happened in Scott Co. on Wednesday.

According to investigators, in all of the above cases, a person entered the homes, took come items, and then set the house on fire.

Officers say they are looking for a gray or silver colored Cobalt or Cavalier they believe is involved in the fires.

They are asking anyone who thinks they may have seen a vehicle like this in their neighborhood, or anyone who notices any suspicious activity, to please call Kentucky State Police.
