KSP investigating human remains found in Barren County

CAVE CITY, Ky. (WTVQ) – Kentucky State Police (KSP) have launched an investigation following the discovery of human remains in Barren County.

According to KSP, around 4 p.m. on July 11, Post 3 in Bowling Green received a call about possible skeletal remains being found in a Barren County cave.

Detectives went to the scene on 1691 Hiseville Bear Wallow Road in Cave City, found skeletal remains in a cave on the property and took them as evidence for the investigation. The remains were taken to the Medical Examiners Office in Louisville to be identified.

The investigation is ongoing and led by KSP detectives.
