KSP investigating fatal collision in Owsley Co.

BOONEVILLE, Ky. (WTVQ) – Kentucky State Police are investigating a fatal collision involving a pedestrian that happened on Highway 30 approximately 5 miles east of Booneville, just before 9:30 pm last night.

Investigators say that Dusty B. Stamper, 35 years old of Booneville, was walking west on KY-30 and was struck by Chevy pickup truck operated by Donnie Coomer, 61 years old of Georgetown.  Stamper was transported by EMS to the Kentucky River Medical Center in Jackson, where he was pronounced dead by the Breathitt County Coroner.

Troopers say the investigation is ongoing.
