KSP investigating fatal collision in Martin Co.

INEZ, Ky. (WTVQ) – Kentucky State Police are investigating a fatal collision that happened in Martin Co. Monday afternoon.

Troopers say a preliminary investigation shows that 76-year-old Donald Sesco was traveling west on KY Rte. 40 in Inez when he crossed into the eastbound lane, colliding with a vehicle being driven by Janie Carter.  Sesco was taken from the scene to Highlands Regional Medical Center where he was later pronounced deceased, according to police.

Officers say Sesco was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the collision.

The collision remains under investigation.
