KSP investigating fatal collision in Barren County

GLASGOW, KY. (WTVQ)  –  Kentucky State Police are investigating a fatal collision in Glasgow that happened on Sunday around 12:45 A.M. 

KSP Bowling Green was asked by the Glasgow Police Department to investigate a fatal collision. 

KSP says the collision occurred near the 6600 block of Scottsville Road in Barren County. 

KSP says a preliminary investigation shows that Glasgow Police responded to a physical domestic altercation on Grandview Avenue.

KSP says when officers arrived, a motorcycle driven by 34-year-old Joshua Hartigan of Westmoreland drove off from the scene.

Glasgow Police Department Officers pursued the motorcycle as it left the scene traveling toward Scottsville Road. Near the 6600 block of Scottsville Road, KSP says Hartigan failed to turn a curve and his motorcycle went off the road.  Hartigan was pronounced dead by the Barren County Coroner.  Hartigan was not wearing a helmet at the time of the collision. 

KSP is still investigating.
