KSP investigating a shooting in Wayne County

Wayne County, Ky. (WTVQ) — Kentucky State Police are investigating a shooting in Wayne County.

According to KSP, around 2 a.m. troopers were called by Monticello Police regarding a shooting on Frisby Street.

Officers believe 56-year-old Tracy Kidd entered a home, startling the homeowner.

The homeowner fired one round at Kidd and struck him, then called 911.

Wayne County EMS says they found around 40 grams of methamphetamine’s on Kidd.

Kidd was flown to UK Chandler Hospital and is currently in critical condition.

KSP Post 11 is handling the investigation.
