KSP investigates fatal crash in Garrard County
LANCASTER, Ky. (WTVQ)- KSP Richmond Post responded to a two car accident that resulted in the death of a young man.
The Kentucky State Police got the call around 2 p.m. Sunday of the crash on US 27 south of Lancaster in Garrard County.
The investigation indicated that 79 year-old Archie Cobb was attempting to make a left turn from a parking lot onto US 27 when he drove into the path of an on coming vehicle traveling southbound.
The southbound vehicle was operated by 27 year-old Bryan Spears of Junction City.
The two vehicles collided in the southbound lane and came to rest in the roadway.
Bryan Spears was pronounced dead at the scene as a result of fatal injuries from the crash.
