KSP investigates death of infant in Owsley County
OWLSEY COUNTY, Ky. (ABC 36 NEWS NOW) – Kentucky State Police are investigating the death of an infant in Owsley County.
According to a release, just before 10:30 a.m. on Friday, Troopers received a 911 call for a woman who had been transported to the hospital with a possible miscarriage.
At the hospital, KSP says the couple told them the infant was still at the home on Lewis Lane in Booneville.
Once at the home, Troopers found an unresponsive infant over an embankment outside.
The Owsley County Coroner pronounced the infant deceased. The infant was transported to the medial examiners office in Frankfort for an autopsy.
The investigation is still ongoing.
