KSP investigate an accidental shooting

ESTILL COUNTY, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – Kentucky State Police are investigating an accidental shooting  in Estill County.

According to officials, the shooting occurred just before 1:30 p.m. Friday afternoon on Clark Rd in Irvine.

Initial reports indicate a 14-year-old child was accidentally shot by a 13-year-old child outside of a home.

Life-saving measures were attempted on the scene, but the teen was pronounced dead by Estill County Coroner.

Foul play is not suspected.
