KSP: Drug round-up in Knox County

BARBOURVILLE, Ky. (WTVQ) – A year-long investigation resulted in a dozen drug arrests on Friday in Knox County, according to State Police. Investigators say some of the drugs that were being sold included Oxycodone, Crystal Ice(Methamphetamine) and Suboxone.

State Police say the following people were arrested and taken to the Knox County Jail:

-Nick Jones, 27, of Artemus, charged with trafficking controlled substance 1st and 2nd degree.
-Shelly Mills, 37, of Barbourville, charged with trafficking controlled substance 2nd degree.
-Shaunna Roark- Peace, 33, of Trosper, charged with two counts of trafficking controlled substance 1st degree and one count of trafficking controlled substance 2nd degree.
-Wendell Carter, 52, of Barbourville, charged with trafficking controlled substance 1st and 2nd degree.
-Jerry Simpson, 42, of Artemus, charged with two counts of trafficking controlled substance 1st degree.
-Alison Carnes, Pineville, charged with trafficking controlled substance 2nd degree.
-Danny Helton, 47, of Dewitt charged with two counts of trafficking controlled substance 1st degree and one count of trafficking controlled substance 2nd degree.
-Kelly Davidson, 26, of Barbourville, charged with trafficking controlled substance 1st degree.
-Kevin Bargo, 40, Green Road, charged with four counts of trafficking controlled substance 1st degree.
-Carl Brian Penn, 48, of Barbourville, charged with trafficking controlled substance 2nd degree.
-James Donaldson, of Barbourville, charged with two counts of trafficking controlled substance 2nd degree.
-Jeffery Vaughn, of Barbourville, charged with trafficking controlled substance 2nd degree.

Investigators say more arrests are pending.

Agencies involved in the drug round-up included State Police Post 10 in Harlan, Knox County Sheriff’s Department, Barbourville City Police and Operation Unite.
