KSP: Detectives believe shooting incident on I-24 was not random

CADIZ, Ky. (WTVQ)- State Police are investigating after a weekend trip ended up turning into a shooting.

State Police say a pickup truck with three people in it was traveling back from Nashville when it was shot at by another vehicle on I-24 near the Cadiz exit. They say that after being shot at several times, the victim stopped at a Marathon gas station. The victim rammed one of two cars that pulled into the gas station then left.

Troopers say a female passenger in the pickup truck was injured from the gun shots and treated at a nearby hospital.

Detectives believe this is not a random incident.
